Mrs. Helene Chatelain who turned 108 years of age May 3, 2011 was born Helene Farrell on May 3, 1903 in Pendleton near Bourget Ontario, Canada. Growing up as the youngest child in a family of 13 children, Helene’s family were store keepers. Her parents owned a large house in Pendleton across the street from the store they operated. Today Mrs. Helene Chatelain lives in Ottawa, Canada.
108 Birthday Party
Mrs. Helene Chatelain celebrated her 108th birthday party May 3, 2011 at the Rideau Gardens retirement residence in Ottawa. Attending the birthday party were family and friends as well as Jim Watson, the Mayor of Ottawa. The special event was covered by CTV News, The Ottawa Citizen and other local media networks. With a little encouragement Mrs. Chatelain pleased the crowd by dancing with the Mayor.
